We cannot help being aware that daily more and more inventions and events occur, which make us realise that end times prophecies in the Bible are moving inevitably towards fulfilment. The announcement recently by the Danish government, has once again reminded us that the world is slowly fulfilling Bible prophecy day by day. The article announced that the Danish Government has proposed that most stores could dump their cash registers from January 2016. Essential services, such as hospitals, pharmacies and post offices, would still have to accept cash under the plan, which is some way from becoming law. Denmark, with its Scandinavian neighbours Norway and Sweden, is leading the global trend towards computer controlled cash systems. A cashless society is “no longer an illusion but a vision that can be fulfilled within a reasonable time frame” said Michael Busk-Jepsen, executive director of the Danish Bankers Association. Nearly 40% of the population use Danske Bank’s [DNSKY] Mobile Pay system, which allows money transfers between people, as well as purchases in stores or on line. Norway and Sweden tell a similar story. The United Nations is also advocating societies to forego cash for more virtual transacting. It will cut costs and improve transparency. However a cashless society is not totally perfect. Digital transacting carries the problem of growing fraud and security risks. There will also be a problem with the elderly. Total card fraud in Europe hit €1.3 billion in 2012. Investigations into the use of electronic chip implants or RFID in the hand or body however is progressing, and electronic facial recognition or reading the eyes is beginning to be used at airports. “And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [Rev 13:16-17].” So we are reaching a time where if you don’t have a bank account you will not be able to trade or buy food and necessities. During the time of the Tribulation, if you do not receive the mark of the Beast you will soon be identified and dealt with. The Bible indicates it will be by beheading.
Many years ago an old brother came to speak at our church. He spoke about the second coming and said that when Jesus returns, “Every eye will see Him [Rev 1:7].” He went on to say that of course this is not literately possible. Now we know that it is. As the end time events occur in Jerusalem such as the arrival of the two witnesses and with the armies massing against Israel, there is no question that the TV cameras, or whatever invention might have taken their place, will certainly be showing by satellite, the events happening at that time. Just another indication that we are in the last days.
The Bible tells us that when the Antichrist is revealed he will change the laws and the times. [Dan 7:25]. This has begun to occur already, as mankind is organised to respond to the forces exerted on them. For example: BC [Before Christ] has been changed to BCE [Before the Common Era] and AD [in the year of our Lord in Latin] has been changed to CE [Common Era]. Anything to deny that Christ was born around 2015 years ago. For many years the world has set its calendar’s and times to the birth of Christ. Now it has been changed. As regards the laws, mankind has gone away from the laws formulated many years ago often based on God’s law, and remodelled them to suit the modern ideas of earthly standards. The Bible says: “for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.” [Rom 1:25-27 ASV]. Even the result of this unnatural living as God said “was due” or “received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion” [Rom 1:27 NIV]. The arrival of the HIV/AIDs epidemic a few years ago, did nothing to stop the Government removing the penalties for homosexuality and not only making it legal but changing the law to make it possible for same sex marriage. Abortion; how is it a punishable offence for a mother to kill a new born baby, and yet allow thousands of unborn babies to be slaughtered without good excuse evades me? I wonder how many aborted babies there are in heaven. David wrote in Psalm 139 that God knew all about him even before he was formed in his mother’s womb. No one is born by accident, God knows each one and loves each one. Yet our modern laws allow abortion. God’s laws are slowly and irrevocably being changed, to suit what is right in man’s eyes not what is right in God’s sight.[Prov 30:12].
If we were to read where the world is going we would realise that we are slowly moving towards a world government and overall ruler who once he has his hands on the tiller and is in control will lead the world to destruction as did Hitler in Germany, and others have done before in time past. It all looks good to start with, and then generally ends in disaster. Especially when the Devil is driving it and controls the mind of the instigator. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. [Prov 16:25].
We read in Exodus about the Jews being in bondage. God was going to take them to a new land. He told them one night to offer a lamb as a sacrifice and paint the doorposts and lintels with the blood of the lamb, to stay inside the house and they would be safe. [Ex 12:1-30]. That night the Angel of Death went through Egypt and wherever there was no blood the angel killed the firstborn son. A judgement is coming to this world in time to come, and anyone who is covered by the blood of the lamb will be safe and be taken out of this world before the judgement of God begins. [1 Thess 3:12-18]. Are you covered by the blood of Jesus, are you saved, are you His? Read [John 3:1-21].
