What in the World is Happening? – May 2015

Over the last two or three months we have studied into the future with the Bible before us and looked at the world to see how it will be like at the time of the Tribulation, and the end of the world. We have covered the rise of Antichrist, the state of the world and the makeup of the Church. What about the state of the general population, the people, some of the ones who are good living family people who are either ignorant or heedless of Christ’s Salvation and the things to come?

As we observe men and women of today, particularly the young, we can see many influenced by the increasing worldliness and the drift away from the teachings of the Bible. Schools in the UK have been threatened with reduced funding if they fail to teach evolution or teach Creation as truth! It almost seems that the influences of the original Illuminati statements to bring their plan about [see March 2015 article] are maturing. Their plan to discredit the Bible, family and belief in God and to bring about the world view they wished to create seem to be succeeding. The power of Satan influencing all mankind will be destroyed upon the arrival of Christ from Heaven to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over the whole world from Jerusalem. This will come to pass regardless of man’s moral degeneration.

So, what of mankind in the last days? The Bible does not refer to good things happening. Paul in his letter to Timothy refers to the state of people at that time “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. [2 Tim 3:1-9KJV]. The Lord Himself spoke about this subject: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.[Matt 24:37-39 NKJV].

The reference to the days of Noah ring true very well to our present world generation. We read in Genesis about the days of Noah and the situation which caused God to destroy the world. Wickedness, immorality, and violence filled the earth under the influence of Satan. Ordinary people just living their lives without thought of God or their eternal destiny. Then the end came. So in future days, so will the end come. In the Gospel of Luke we are told it will also be like the days of Lot, where it grieved the Godly man Lot on how people behaved and how life went on in the city of Sodom. Lot decided to live in this wicked city where it not only affected Lot but also exposed his wife and children to the sin and wicked ways of went on around them and coloured their outlook, which manifested its effect by Lot’s wife looking back as God destroyed the city and shown by his daughters actions in later years. So it will be in the last days, where young children will be affected by what is taught in schools and the actions of their friends. We can see it today by what is accepted on films and television as normal and the way things are going by increased gay marriage and loose living, with couples living together while being unmarried, even Christians defying God’s word and grieving the Holy Spirit by copying those around them.

Another glimpse of the future was given in the book of Daniel. At the conclusion of Daniel’s prophecy about the end time’s battles, Daniel is given a brief glimpse of the world in the end times. He was given a vision concerning the future and then was told to seal it up until the time of the end: “But you Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge” [Dan 12:4]. “I heard but did not understand. So I asked, My Lord, what will the outcome of all this be? He replied, Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand.” [Dan 12:8-10].”

Little did Daniel or the people of his day know what would occur in the last days with air travel and computers and how much more knowledge would be known with so many people travelling to and fro and able to learn so much. The first schools available to ordinary people were only started in the late 1800’s, and then school was only generally attended until 11 or 12 years of age. When you think of what is happening today we see something that would not have been envisioned in our grandfathers day, certainly not in Daniels. The idea that mankind will improve as time goes by, sadly according to the Bible, it will not. Corruption, violence and wickedness will increase until the Lord comes. When the Prince of Peace comes, men will beat their swords into ploughshares and live in peace with each other in the future Kingdom of Gods dear Son the Lord Jesus. [Isa 2:4]. Do you know Him, have you committed your way to Him? Jesus said: I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except through me [John 14:6]. No one!
