What in the World is Happening? – March 2014

The battle for and the arguments over the right of Israel to be a nation and live in the land God gave them continue. For those, even some Christians, who doubt the right of Israel to be where they are, the answers are stated clearly in God’s Holy Scriptures where many promises regarding the future of His earthly people and their present prospects are clearly revealed.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, so speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying, “Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book. For, lo, the days come, says the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says the LORD. And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave their fathers, and they shall possess it.” And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For so says the LORD: “We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask now, and see whether a man is giving birth? Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, like a woman in labour, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it; it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall be in that day”, says the LORD of hosts, “I will break his yoke from your neck and will burst your bonds. And strangers shall no longer enslave him, but they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them. And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear,” says the LORD. “Do not be terrified, O Israel. For lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with you, says the LORD, to save you. Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you entirely unpunished.”[Jeremiah 30:1-11 MKJV].

In Jeremiah Chapters 30 and 31 God outlines His future plans for the Jews and for the Nation of Israel. Whatever people might say and query about the right of the Jews and their land to be where they are, they will not change the mind of God. Paul writes in Romans 11 and verse 1 that God will in no way cast aside his earthly people, the Jews. Just as God has promised he will never cast aside the followers of Jesus, so His promises are eternal and neither will He cast aside His earthly people the Jews, the people of Israel. The propaganda of the Palestinian leaders has influenced the thinking of people world wide.

The original plan by the League of Nations was for the Jews to have much of the land God had promised. Then the Arabs complained, and Western nations worried about their oil supplies and allowed the Palestinians to settle in the land of what is now Jordon. In the end, the United Nations gradually whittled the Jews portion till they were to receive the land more or less that they have now. The Arab nations told the Palestinians to get out of the new Israel as they were going to destroy it and take it back. Needless to say, the 1948 war the Arabs started they did not win, the Israelis did, resulting in a refugee group of Palestinians. Having been thrown out of Jordon because of his behaviour and trouble making, Yassar Arafat, actually an Egyptian made himself into an exiled Palestinian and tried to make a new nation, that of Palestine. The propaganda was so good that the world started to believe him, and so we have much of the problem that besets the land of Israel and its Palestinian opponents. There are now very few of the Palestinian refugees left and yet the world goes on talking about Israel’s “Occupation” of the land, given to them by God and legitimately awarded to them by the United Nations in 1948. The Bible says: “So says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day and the laws of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when its waves roar; the LORD of hosts is His name; if those ordinances depart from Me, says the LORD, the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever. (Jeremiah 31:35-36 MKJV)” The world governments are so against the Jews, Satan the old deceiver is at work and sooner or later the world will Attack Israel but will find an immoveable rock protected by the Lord who will create so much electrical interference it can be assumed the weapons of the nations electronics will not work [Zech 12:1-5]. In the closing verses of Zechariah we see the conversion of Israel to believe in the redemption message of Jesus and it will mean the nations salvation [Zech 12:19 to 13:6]. In Chapter 14 of Zechariah we see the fulfilment of Gods plan and not only the redemption of Israel but the Lord coming to reign as King not only over Israel but of the whole world.

The Bible ends with a message: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come. And if he be willing let him take of the water of life freely. For I testify together to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book. He who testifies these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly, Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen. (Revelation 22:17-21 MKJV). The Lord is coming back one day for you, for me. He has promised He will and if He said it He will do it. Amen
