A man claiming to be a reincarnation of Jesus Christ, and who is with a woman he calls Mary Magdalene as a partner has started a gathering in Australia. To hear him speak, he sounds quite normal and people are beginning to follow him. Recently there was someone in California who proclaimed himself as Jesus Christ but I have not heard much more about him since. Jesus warned us: “And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many”. (Matthew 24:4-5 NKJV), – “For false Christ’s and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect. Behold, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it. For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of man.” (Matthew 24:24-27 MKJV). We have already been warned about the man from the desert, and although Mohammed sought to point man to one god, it is in doubt whether he was talking about the one true God. He did not claim to be Christ, in fact he said he was God’s messenger but denied God had a son and will not accept Christ as divine and said he was merely a prophet, whom Mohammed’s teachings replace. The Bible says there is only one way to God that is through faith in Christ Jesus. [1 Tim 2:5]. There is every evidence that he chose Allah who was the local moon god to be the only one, hence the content of many Moslem country’s flags.
I never cease to wonder at the ability of interested parties to access our information. One of our local supermarkets, kindly send us details of usual groceries we buy, to tell us when they are on special. This is all very well, but it indicates quite clearly that they not only keep records of our purchases but also our buying habits. With the wide spread prevalence of Facebook, Twitter and the like, where people quite readily tell everyone else of their activities, one wonders how much of this information is collected by others for future reference and to be used in sales promotion or other uses. When some terrorists were recently apprehended by intelligence services of a country, it prevented probably a terrorist attack being committed, but the investigators not only knew exactly what had been going on, but had film of all those involved. When the Antichrist and his associates take power, it will be a minor effort to find out dissenters and supporters, and eliminate the dissenters. I suppose Edward Snowdon late of the American Intelligence Services might be able to enlighten us on this subject.
The prospect of war between Syria and Israel seems ever more imminent with the attack by Israel on two convoys carrying advanced missiles to Lebanon. These are for use by the Hizbullah militia forces based in Lebanon, and in the event of an attack on Israel it will prevent them falling into the hands of the rebel forces in Syria or being used by Hizbullah to possibly attack Israel. The Assad ruling power in Syria seems to be weakening in the face of rebel opposition, making the Israeli government only too aware of what might happen should some element of the Syrian rebels, such as Al Qaeda, or the Moslem Brotherhood take control of Syria. Already there has been a skirmish on the Golan Heights between Israeli soldiers and Syrian forces. The Moslem forces in the Middle East seem to be fighting against each other with Hizbullah in Lebanon, Russia and Iran supporting the Assad regime and Al Qaeda and others fighting to take over. However when the conflict in Syria becomes resolved, it will be apparent either way that Israel will have to be on the alert for invading forces. The Bible says: They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, so that the name Israel may be remembered no more. For with one heart they have plotted together; they have made a covenant against You– the tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarites; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre; and Assyria has joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah. (Psalms 83:4-8 MKJV). The nations listed are the ones that border the land of Israel. The Bible continues: Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. (Psalms 83:16-18 KJV).
Will this be the big one? Let us pray for Israel as they stand against their enemies. Russia [Magog] has sent up to a dozen ships to their Mediterranean naval base of Latakia in Syria, to protect it should the Syrian Government fall to rebels and also to support the Assad government in the conflict which may not only change the make up of the region but cause more trouble as the surrounding nations seek to destroy Israel. God decides, in spite of the striving of men, who will rule in the kingdoms of men as Nebuchadnezzar found out: “And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make you to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until thou know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he will.” (Daniel 4:32 KJV). However Assed s a tyrant and like all the other tyrant’s in the Middle East, will be deposed, in God’s good time and will. However I cannot help thinking that all the time the rulers are busy with the Syrian rebellion, they are not attacking Israel. The threat is still there however and as the Bible tells us, the time is coming when Israel is attacked, and God will fight along with Israel to defeat their enemies.
There is now nothing in prophecy to delay the Lord’s coming for His Church in the Rapture, are you ready for when He does come, He will come without warning, as a thief in the night, at any time of day or night. [Matt 24:36-44]. Therefore you also must be ready; for it is at a time when you do not expect Him that the Son of Man will come. (Matthew 24:44 WNT).
